As a coach and facilitator, I work with businesses and individuals by helping them create visions for their businesses, their future and inevitably, this leads on to setting objectives or goals for the long, medium and short-term. Generally, as a society, we deem new year to be the time when we start our plans or put off starting something until next year or the new year. A school of thought to challenge this is to use the academic year as our structure for planning and setting objectives. This can work well for several reasons.
