I was deeply privileged to be asked to present the European Franchise Federation’s awards last month, and they also asked me to give a presentation in front of a room full of experts earlier in the day. Of course, I was happy to, and asked what topic they would like me to speak on.
“The Status of Franchising in Europe”, they told me. I blinked.. my area of expertise, of course, but did they have any idea of just how big a topic this was?
So, instead of relying solely on anecdotal evidence I hear all the time working with different franchises, I reached out to some of my connections and colleagues to contribute. The response was astounding. Data came flooding in from all over the continent thanks to my wonderful friends in various franchise associations across Europe. It was a real gold mine of information I could never have put together alone.
With their help, my team and I pulled it all together into one clear report. The presentation was a hit, and many people asked for a copy of the full length article I also put together around it… so I thought you might like it too.
