I’ve just come back from an amazing trip to New Zealand, and what a country that is! We all know about how beautiful it is there, and how friendly the people are, but it doesn’t always get the attention it deserves when it comes to being a wonderful place for franchising. Which it very much is, let me tell you!
I’ve visited before, of course, but I was really blown away on this last visit by the energy and enthusiasm of the local franchise scene and the NZ Franchise Association itself. As always, with these trips, I am not just out there to make connections with local experts, but also to learn more about how international brands – especially UK-based franchises – can expand their brands into existing markets like this one.
I’m currently working with Global Franchise Magazine on an article about exactly this, so keep your eyes peeled for something soon!
In the meantime…
Will you be at the International Franchise Show at ExCel on 12th and 13th April?
If so, it could be a great chance for us to meet or catch up!
As one of the biggest events of the year in the franchising calendar, I will, of course, be there with my colleagues from The Franchising Centre. I’ll be getting around to all the different events and seeing a few speakers, but the biggest and best things about these events for me are always the people I meet and talk to.
So, please do catch me if you see me at any of the panels (especially the international ones!), or come down to the TFC stand. I’m always happy to talk about anything and everything to do with international franchising, meet new friends, or just catch up with old ones!
