Franchising your Business

Get Ready for franchising

Are you considering franchising as a possible future growth strategy?

Maybe you are already a very successful franchise who is thinking about improving or expanding your offering?

….Or are you somewhere between the two and could just use a bit of support and direction?

Wherever you are on your franchising journey, we can help

From helping you assess your franchise potential through our complimentary Franchise Ready Review, to creating a Franchise Business Blueprint and supporting the growth of your network, we offer a complete range of services to help you turn a successful business into a successful franchise.

Finding out whether franchising is right for your business doesn’t need to be complicated or expensive. We help business owners understand their options, identify the most effective route forward, and access the right level of support for their individual goals.

Every business is different, and every franchise journey is unique. That’s why our advice, guidance, and services are always tailored to your specific needs.

We start with:

What franchising is exactly, if it’s right for you, and how it might work

How you can get started, or take your current offering to the next level

How you can optimise the amount of money you invest
How to develop a blueprint or roadmap which will get results
And most importantly: how much help do you actually need, if any?

Click through the sections below to learn more about what is most relevant to you, or get in touch for a no-obligation initial chat by filling in the form at the bottom of this page.

Start With a Franchise Ready Review

Before investing time and money into franchise development, it’s important to understand whether your business is genuinely ready to scale, and what may need strengthening first.

Our complimentary Franchise Ready Review assesses your business against six key characteristics of successful franchise systems, highlighting your strengths, identifying any gaps, and giving you a clear roadmap for what should happen next.

The review examines:

Proven success and established systems

Ease of duplication and market demand

Learnability and franchisee suitability

Financial viability

Culture of support

Reasons for franchisees to join your network

Whether you’re ready to franchise now or need to strengthen certain areas first, the review provides valuable clarity before you make any major decisions.

How we can Help

Your business could be worth its weight in gold as a franchise, but only if you build the right foundations from the start. The decisions you make early on will influence everything that follows, from franchise recruitment and training to operational support, financial performance, international expansion, and even a future exit or sale.

That’s why we recommend starting with our complimentary Franchise Ready Review. This assessment helps you understand how prepared your business is for franchising, identifies any gaps that may need addressing, and provides a clear view of the most sensible next steps.

If the review confirms that franchising is the right route forward, we can then work with you to create a Franchise Business Blueprint (FBB) — a detailed strategic plan that maps out everything involved in franchising your business, including the investment required, infrastructure needed, and the potential returns.

The Franchise Business Blueprint provides a clear roadmap for your franchise journey and helps you make informed decisions with confidence. It typically includes:

A review of the unique strengths and differentiators within your business model

Comprehensive financial forecasting covering both initial investment and long-term infrastructure requirements

Development and packaging of a franchise model that is commercially viable and aligned with your growth objectives

Budget projections for franchise development, recruitment, operations, support, staffing, legal services, and other key requirements

Analysis of the resources needed to successfully franchise your business, including time, skills, and financial commitments

From there, should you decide to move forward, we can provide as much or as little support as you need – from strategic advice and project guidance through to hands-on involvement in the day-to-day development and growth of your franchise network.

None of our services are one-size-fits-all. Everything we do is tailored to your business, your goals, and the level of support that’s right for you.

Need funding to franchise your business?

Turning your business into a franchise requires investment. Once you understand what’s involved and the level of investment required, the next question may be how best to fund it.

Through our specialist funding partner, we can help you explore a range of finance options to support your franchise plans, from funding the initial development of your franchise through to working capital, equipment and other costs associated with growth.

As part of the wider support available through TFC, we can introduce you to specialists who understand franchise finance and can help identify the funding options that may be right for you.

Systems and Documentation for your franchise

Once you have identified that the business is viable as a franchise, have the financial plans and resources in place, either in house or outsourced, then there are systems, procedures and documentation that you will need to put in place.

In our experience this is typically completed by a combination of in-house resource and outsourced help.

This is where we, and our network of franchise specialists can help.

You will need:

A Franchise operation manual, including policies, procedures, full details on how to operate the business, requirements of a franchisee and etc. This is the System you are franchising

A franchise agreement covering the must and must not dos, the financial arrangements and all the important legal considerations. This protects your IP and your system

A training programme for franchisees. This teaches them how you do what you do

A recruitment system. This finds, recruits and on-boards your franchisees

An on-going support system. This helps to ensure your franchisees are following your system and are successful

Established Franchisors: taking your growth to the next level

As your franchise network grows, you may find that you need to adapt or improve the structures you have in place. Perhaps you want to change your financial modelling or fee structure, or maybe you need to make sure you have the scalability to continue to grow at the pace you want.

Maybe you’re even finding your growth has stalled, and you need new strategies in place to get your franchise moving forward again.

We can help you to assess and audit your current franchise structures and create a development plan to get you from where you are now, to where you want to be.
